Zoho Books Forecasting - financial desktop app
Zoho Books Forecasting is a desktop application for visualising financial history and making forecasts for companies utilising the Zoho Books platform for accounting and keeping track of their financial situation.
Although being an application with a pretty simple UI, it provides broad functionality for representing incomes, expenses, and cash flow of the company, and enhances the functionality of the Zoho Books platform.
Project overview
This project focused on building a high-performance desktop application that extends Zoho Books with advanced financial forecasting. The goal was to give finance teams deeper insight into future cash flow and trends using a fast, reliable, cross-platform tool.
The application connects to Zoho Books data and transforms raw financial information into meaningful forecasts . It allows users to analyze past performance, predict future outcomes, and make better business decisions — all within a dedicated desktop environment optimized for financial workloads.
Technical side of things
From a technical point of view, the application uses a pretty low technological stack.
Despite using a limited set of technologies, we were able to create a feature-rich cross-platform desktop application that can be easily compiled for all major desktop platforms such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
