egoo.health – Mobile app for biomarker self-tester
egoo.health is a cross-platform, mobile application that brings home users functionalities of the Egoo platform for accurate bio-marker testing. We are proud to be a part of this project, and want to present how Somco Software worked to make this vision a reality.
What have we done for Egoo?
Egoo is a capsule-based diagnostic device with no buttons or built-in screen, so all interaction happens remotely. We implemented reliable device control via first Wi-Fi and then Bluetooth, including discovery and handling of multiple devices at the same time. Stability and connection safety were critical, as the device performs sensitive medical measurements and must work consistently in real-world conditions.
We developed a cross-platform mobile application for both Android and iOS, covering the full scope of business logic and user interface. The app guides users through the testing process in a simple, intuitive way and serves as the main control point for the device. We also handled deployment and release to the App Store and Google Play, making the solution accessible to home users.
Somco implemented the full test logic inside the application. Test results are securely stored in the cloud, so we integrated the solution with a state-of-the-art cloud solution. This ensured reliable data synchronization, scalability, and secure access to results for further analysis and medical use.

What is the deal with Egoo?
Egoo is a connected diagnostic device developed by QLife Holding that brings clinical-grade testing out of laboratories and into everyday use. It enables fast, reliable self-testing for blood biomarkers and infectious diseases in a compact, user-friendly form.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Egoo devices were used to safely host major events like the European Women’s Handball Championship and Danish Superliga matches. This ability to deliver lab-quality results on site and at home marks a real shift in how diagnostics can be accessed and used.
